my baba is pretty unique
she is this beautiful woman from italy
here in sweden doing her phd work in epedimiology
say that word fast after a few drinks
damn..say it fast without any drinks
anyhows...baba is pretty damn unique
when we first met, she played a song for me
i plotzed it was so good
asked her where i could get 5 copies for the store
she said there were no copies...before she decided to do phd work in a hard to pronounce subject
she had studied singing in rome
she is amazing

yet in one way..my baba is pretty much like most women
she thinks
she is fat

i usually wake up pretty ok
i have a friend from ethiopia
he has seen lots
lots more than any of us would like to see
i have seen lots...and i am sure you have too
but not the lots that omar has seen
that kind of LOTS
does not make it easy
to wake up in the morning

omar told me....he has a trick that helps him
to wake up each and every morning
it is so damn simple
should be made into one of those refrigerator magnets
we could stick it onto our alarm clock
and make sure to read it each and every morning when we wake up

is that why they call them turkeys?

god...i never in my life thought i would write, say or even think those words

wow...that was fun.

anyhows....i really do wanna make this place not only fun and educational and lots of other stuff

i also wanna make it easy for people to find this stuff
i did all the work exploring books, magazines, the internet looking for everything...
now it would be a shame if they just sit here on the shelves..just because it was so disorderly here

i am constantly telling people
i have the things you didn't know you liked
it is sort of my motto
a pretty good motto if you ask me
even if you don't ask me
don't change the fact that the motto is good

thought i would take a few minutes today
and actually show some stuff that you might not know about
and just might like
so i walked a bit around the store
and i looked at the music, the films and the books
and i chose 2 of each
not easy to choose må du tro
but i figure...i can do this once in a while
until i have covered the entire collection

one thing that never seems to make the list

is that i am a good businessman
actually...my goal for 2008

i really don't know one kändis from another
as for actors...after donald sutherland, elliot gould and jane fonda...i sorta lost touch
i would hopefully recognize steve buscemi

yesterday was the first day open here since xmas
i was a bit scared...was afraid everyone had already forgotten the store
i scare easily
the store had not been forgotten
actually....it kind of felt as if the store had a new birth
a small warm friendly kind of new birth
i like that

my new friend eric was here
eric is this cool as hell and i am betting very talented youg musician who comes here and babbles with me sometimes
he and his banjo playing friend whos name i forget and i am ashamed for that will probably play a show here in a month or so

i want my stomache of 2007 back!

sorta cool...we live here in stockholm
i come from detroit
baba comes from rome
we got it all covered...the beauty of stockholm
the history of rome
the slums of detroit

we spent new years in rome
what an amazing place
funny how it took until now to get discovered

we all feel it

a little fun thing to do
when the kids are already bored with their broken toys
and you just wanna vomit

sounds pretty much like any usual tuesday for most people

anyhows...
this little mind reading trick can sort of rinse the air
and possibly get you started on a discussion of metaphysics or harry houdini
or something else
what do i know

ok...you need 1 piece of paper, 1 pen
and a subject
it is best if the subject is about 12 or older
but don't worry...it's nothing sexual

it is xmas season
a time to share
i myself am jewish
we don't have to share if we don't want to
it is on a voluntary basis for us

today i will share some jewish wisdom with you
we jews...we don't celebrate all the same holidays you christians and muslims and buddhists celebrate
we have our own secret holidays

at this time of year i often get questions about our jewish holidays
people seem interested in learning something of the jewish faith

i will now share my jewish holiday knowledge with you
