let's eat

when i moved to sweden...way way back the 8th of january 1980 (my god is it really that long ago) i could cook and egg ONLY if there was someone behind me to tell me how to do it
my idea of making food was to put a piece of meat in the oven...turn the oven on as hot as it got...and have a good bottle of ketchup next to me

the food in sweden in 1980 ...made my cooking look exotic.
boiled cod in egg sauce...pork chops with diareah sauce...goddamned BLOODPUDDING!! one day i will tell you more of my feelings about blood pudding...not now

now i gotta tell ya bout a book here....i think if i was to describe larrys corner with a book...it would be just this..PERMANENT FOOD.
this book...as this store....is hard to describe. the book is a collection of photos and photographic art...the most vile, sexual, beautiful, happy, grotesque....getting the point..pictires you can imagine. they are taken from pretty much anywhere the on the planet that there are pictures.
this is nr 14 that i have...i will as soon as possible get in as many of the others as is possible to the store. this is amazing stuff.

keeping with food...and by the way..if you promise to read all of this...one of my all time best recipes will be at the end as a reward...but let's have BREAKFAST WITH HUNTER.
yes..this is the very film that you have been looking for. this 91 minute documentary shows the father of gonzo...hunter s. thompson in all his glory. the guy changed the world in his own nutso kind of way. i have only 1 copy and have no idea how hard it will be to find another...so act quickly!

ok people....recipes come and recipes go....now that was pretty deep wasn't it? but some recipes stick around forever like a dear old friend.
wow..actually that's true. a good close recipe you can forget for a year or so...then you find it again one day....and woee zoweee...it's all warm and gushy like an old friend
chicken with peaches is one of those recipes. one of the first little more exotic recipes i dared making after hard boiled eggs. it sounds sorta weird..but trust me. i have yet to find someone who did not eat at very least 2 portions.

i have just found a new healthier way to make it...so those of you who got this recipe from me a few years ago....this is the mediterranean way.

fry up some cut up chicken breasts in olive oil. used to use butter...this better

salt and pepper them

amounts are up to you....i usually use 4 breasts to 2-3 people....depending on the people.
then take 1 large and maybe a small can of peaches in juice.slice in the peaches...add the juice....add 1/4 cup or 1/2 dl worcestershiresås
and some cinnamon....you decide how much

let it cook lightly for bout 15 minutes....then add some flour mixed with water...get it stirred well or there will be jellyfish looking blobs in the sauce

eat it with rice or pasta and someone you love
enjoy
