i think joseph spence would like this place

yesterday was the first day open here since xmas
i was a bit scared...was afraid everyone had already forgotten the store
i scare easily
the store had not been forgotten
actually....it kind of felt as if the store had a new birth
a small warm friendly kind of new birth
i like that
my new friend eric was here
eric is this cool as hell and i am betting very talented youg musician who comes here and babbles with me sometimes
he and his banjo playing friend whos name i forget and i am ashamed for that will probably play a show here in a month or so
eric had not forgotten the store over xmas
he came here for a coffee and a babble
then maria came
maria is an even newer...yet i have a feeling just as good new friend
maria bought some books...and we talked
eric listened
eric heard us talking about country/folk music
eric plays country folk music
eric and maria started talking and maria gave eric a name and place he could contact about playing some music
they became store friends
later on...a drunk finn came in and despite his incoherence
he was nice and will come back to drink some coffee and shake the cobwebs out of his head
and later on again a man who owns one of the coolest book publishing companies around came in.
when i get more info i will write about his amazing photo books..and i will hopefully have them here to sell
this is my dream for the store...and my dream is slowly taking form
yes...i absotootly love when you buy stuff here
cannot deny that fact
but damnit...buy something...and meet someone
have a coffee and a babble...with me...or with whoever else happens to be in the store
the hippy in me will never die
joseph spence is too bad...dead
if he wasn't..i think he would enjoy coming here just drinking coffee and talking....make that mumbling
listen to
good morning mr. walker
the guy was warm....and he could play guitar like a god...and he was a mumbler
and i think he would've fit in well here
next time eric comes...i gotta play this for him
actually...my baba gets first listen
