my wedding revisited

barbara and i have now been married for one heavenly year
life has been pretty much as expected
which means
we never expect anything
things just happen

been meeting alot of interesting people here in stockholm
seems as if everyone has heard a bit or piece about our wedding
making it easy on us all

barbara is thinking of going for therapy after the wedding.

it was a nice wedding

but it was without a doubt a LARRY wedding....and barbara wanted a mushbabig wedding. mushbabig is our sickeningly cute word for the 2 of us together. it is the type of word that will thru the years make our friends and family want to vomit.....but i always wanted a word of my own. musbabig is the word. i will not explain.

barbara comes from italy and has been in sweden for about 2 years now. she speaks almost no swedish and she lives in stockholm. she is working for her phd

she is pretty smart and determined.

she wanted a beautiful romantic wedding. ......i forgot to inform her who i am.

beautiful and romantic can only find themselves in my life if they are mushed together with nuts weird and gaggle of other non romantic type words.

barbara planned this wedding all herself from beginning to end.

one cannot plan when one is marryiing me.

i am not totally to blame.

her mother and brother got lost on the way to the vows and they missed our english italian swedish vows. i had written a song/poem to barbara in english and then translated it into italian. i used an internet translation site.

watch out for internet translation sites.

one line was...you will be mine forever

the translation i got was you will be landmines forever

lucklily i asked for help and had the line corrected before the vows.

i am a jew....not a very religious jew...but a jew nonetheless. i try to feel guilty as much as possible.

in a jewish wedding the groom is supposed to break a glass. if you ask 10 jews the meaning of this act...they will all insist they know and you will get 12 versions.

i did it cause i felt like breaking a glass and having something to write about.

i tried being romantic....i bought a very expensive finnish glass with an italian name....just found out last week the glass wasnt italien.i thought it would be soo romantic if i had a glass from the home of my wife.

i wrapped the fake italien glass in a green towel. green is our color. i was really trying to be romantic!!!

i remember thinking..dont make an ass of yourself larry....break the fucking glass! dont look like a wuss and miss..

i didnt miss....i broke the glass...i really broke the glass

it hurt like hell

we continued with music and our vows....after exchanging rings i went to kiss my new bride

she screamed....youre bleeding!!!

i saw some blood..but thought what the hell...it..s no big deal

then my mind started working for the first time that day.

my mind said..hey..if there is blood..then it must be coming from your shoe....and if it is..it is going all the way thru your shoe which means there is alot of blood.

i lifted my foot and lo and behold.....damn was there alot of blood.

this is not according to jewish tradition

i sat down and had 2 wonderful friend/nurses take care of me. i myself was happy...barbara herself was having the first of what i guess will be many nervous breakdowns

they called an ambulance and the ambulance driver took me to the hosptial where they sewed up my foot and sent me back to my bride

barbara was very angry

the wedding was amazing.....i am too tired to write more but the wedding was amazing. i danced on one nonbleeding foot

next day we flew to zanzibar

after 3 days...barbara sprained her foot and could not walk

she is really the woman for me

today i feel like listening to my wedding singer..almost sir anthony rochester...he is an amazing artist who is much too humble....the guy was a dream....and burt bacharch should be proud to know anthony has done his songs proud

ORANGE PUDDING CAKE that i eat too often ala mushba

Orange pudding cake à la mushba is good and it is easy... and it is not so terribly fattening either. always cool with a dessert that won't make you fat or fatter now isn't it? let's eat 2!!

2 tbs butter....what the hell

1/4 cup sugar

2 eggs from hap hap happy hens

2 tbsp orange juice

1 tsp grated orange peel

2 tbs flour

1 cup light milk

oven at 375¤. beat 2 tbs butter till it gets soft and not so sassy. mix in 1/4 cup sugar and mix it until the cows are almost home. break 2 eggs and beat the yolk until they are as pretty a yellow as you have ever seen....save the whites!! and the whales.mix the yolks with the butter. mix 2 tbs fresh orange juice with 1 tsp grated orange peel...sorta like putting the orange back together again. mix in 2 tbs flour and 1 cup light milk. calories!!! whip the egg whites until they look like cute fluffy mountains.mix it all together in a way that feels good for you. pour into a greased pan and let it bake about 36 minutes and 47 seconds. let it cool off and enjoy.
