a few months ago i got a mail from a guy named aleksander.
aleksander said that he worked for a magazine called arlanda xpress and he asked if he could write about the store
guess what i answered?
i was a bit curious tho....how the hell had he heard of larrys corner?
he said that he had fikat here a few days before and loved the place....maybe he wrote liked the place but i get to överdriva ibland

last november we had the pleasure of spending an evening with 3 amazing artists who called themselves...bird by snow
trust me...it was one magical evening
well.....if we can experience magic once...why not go for it twice?

ok...not all three of them....but fletcher bird by snow is coming...and if i understood him right....he will be bringing a new magic artist...a new magical cello player
being the honest guy i am...the first time they played here....i had never heard them....i just had this feeling that it would be special....i was right

the reality is
i am going to spend 10 days in detroit

i love my hometown.

but it sure ain't zanzibar

anyhows...i will be gone from july 30 and back if the jet lag doesn't hit too hard on the 11th of august
have oodles and oodles of new stuff coming so save your money!!

jesse i have known all my life for 6 months now
he is also a lost american soul finding himself in stockholm
he is a great guitarist, graphic artist and all around pretty damn cool guy

simon is one of if not my favo swedish underground comic book artist and also a pretty damn cool guy

simon did this new logo for me and i feel in love with it

jesse spent some time making it sort of psychedelic larry

simon gärdenfors is one of swedens coolest bestest comic book artists...hopefully pretty soon i will have his book simons 120 days here in the store.....simon was nice enough to do this drawing for me...a drawing i deem worthy to be the new logo for larrys corner...sorta looks like me as betty boops yiddische grandpa...me likes
hope you do too....gonna print up some tshirts and cards and underwear

i have piles and piles of cds here....and then some
pretty hard keeping track of the music coming and the music going
i have a couple of piles that i cant find the cover to...that i play every now and then trying to remember where i put the damn cover
i have this one cd that i can never find the cover to...and every damn time i play it i go..."wow...this is good stuff"...then i look..and see it is from jacques. i mean it people...4 times now..maybe 5 but not 3....i have put it on and med en gång..loved the stuff

a few weeks ago we had a most amazing evening here
make that MOST AMAZING evening here
....and the monodepressives played their first show ever...doing acoustic punk the exact way people should play acoustic punk
they rocked in their cool middle aged ways!
along with...and the monodepressives...we were treated to 3 songs by one of my new favos...samuel trygger
anyone who likes swedish visor mixed with tom waits and vladimir vysotsky...impressed that i know vysotsky?
anyhows...anyone liking basically very talented vismusik...will love samuel

i just sit here
i just sit here...and for some strange...but very uppskattad and happy reason.,....life seems to be coming to visit me and the store..more and more often
jag vill inte...and i don't fatta this..men it is happening ändå....each and every day händer något underbart
on friday....morning i got an email from mikael katzeff....had no idea who he was or what he did
by friday evening he was one of my favorite people on the planet

i really am havng fun here lately
we are moving things around...fixing a little here and a little there and some places in between
store lookin good...and the coffee and brownies and muffins....yeah..wow
they seem to be getting popular
